OUR MISSION
MAYVILLE FRIENDS OF CAMP INC. is a 501(c)(3) organization that is dedicated to supporting the Mayville School District 6th grade camp program by raising and distributing funds for camp week each school year. Our team understands how important it is for children to explore the great outdoors and learn about the environment. We lead and partner with the school district in providing a week-long (overnight) outdoor experience filled with environmental education classes, outdoor adventures and nightly entertainment. We believe that every child deserves to experience the outdoors in a safe and educational way.
OUR IMPACT
6th Grade Camp continues to make an impact on each student's life. For many students, this is the first time that they have been away from their family. Throughout the week each student encounters many life lessons like teamwork, leadership, overcoming obstacles, independence, lifelong knowledge of nature, among many others. Students leave the camp experience with new friendships, great memories and an eager mindset to learn more about the environment.
